Preparing lower rim and fixing it on the mold
The lower rim is approximately
1.5" whide.
It is made by GSE and it is from pure copper. |
Gudrun soldering the lower
rim using an ERSA 250W iron.
Her left hand (covered) is protected by an heavy leather glove. |
The lower rim is to be fixed on the mold perfectly after it has been soldered ready. I drilled some small wholes in the mold just at the borderline between glass section and rim section. (10 wholes, one every 6 of the 60 pieces) |
Florist's wire helps fixing the lower rim on the mold. |
